FibreGuard stain protection is the result of years of research and testing by interior designers and textile engineers. These fabrics will retain their aesthetic and tactile appeal when exposed to harsh UV rays and washed multiple times at a range of temperatures. Will FibreGuard protect my couch from red wine and grubby fingerprints?
FibreGuard stain-free technology ensures that your couch and curtains are easy to clean, time and time again, no matter the stain.
Every FibreGuard fabric is tested in both BruTextiles’ accredited in-house laboratory, Labotex, and by external independent laboratories. Fabric performance is tested against 17 common household stains, ranging from oil and mayonnaise, to mud and sweat, and that so-good-until-it’s-bad stain, red wine.
The testing criteria are strict and include variables such as the length of time a stain sits on the fabric and the number of washes the fabric is subject to, ensuring the FibreGuard properties remain effective over time.
Most stains can be removed with water and a soft, clean cloth, while in more serious cases, a mild soap will aid the cleaning process. Just wet, dab and viola no more marks – it’s that easy.
Inherent stain protection thread by thread
FibreGuard stain free technology is generally applied at the yarn level, so it is inherent to all FibreGuard textiles, a 360° protection against all household stains. In contrast to other topical and spray-on stain treatments, FibreGuard inherent coating will continue to protect your furniture, wash after wash, year after year.
Certified safety for you, your family and pets
All FibreGuard fabrics are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning they will not emit any harmful finishes into your home, and they were created without the use of insidious chemicals. These standards are generally higher than international requirements and offer you increased peace of mind, knowing that everyone is safe in your home.
FibreGuard products also meet the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Organic Content Standard (OCS) verifying both the percentage of recycled and organic materials present.
By extension, FibreGuard ensures transparency across supply chains and that the environment was cared for in the manufacturing process via the ISO 140001 Standard. Mills producing FibreGuard fabrics are closely monitored to reduce the risk of pollution incidents, and to lessen their environmental footprint. A key factor within these standards is the continued development of improved environmental management practices.

FibreGuard fabrics have a 5-year residential use stain resistant warranty covering the fabric under normal household usage. For commercial applications it is 3-years. Ensure you read and watch the cleaning instructions and be patient in the process, you will be amazed at the results.
